Can Real Love Disagree And/Or Disapprove?

Can real love disagree and/or disapprove?  Yes.  I know that it can.  If you read my blog, you know that I am willing to think in uncommon ways.  I have many ideas and some behaviors that are not commonly accepted in our society.

Even the people who love me the most disagree with and disapprove of some of my beliefs and behaviors. (Pacifism/anti-war, vegetarianism, speaking in tongues, deep passion to follow and obey Jesus, believing sermons to be mostly ineffective, believing that Jesus can run a church meeting better than a human can, my belief that the church is spiritual and not institutional, getting emotional in public, etc.)

And that’s okay.  I love them too.  Our love is not based on mutual admiration and approval but on openness and honesty and deep caring for and commitment to each others well-being (even when we disagree).

So why is honest disapproval/disagreement often called hate speech in our culture?  I don’t get it.  Maybe we just don’t understand what true love is.

    UNFORTUNATELY, YES, REAL LOVE DISAGREES! IT “HURTS” BUT IS OFTEN LEADS TO HEALING IF U ALLOW IT! I FOUND THIS OUT @ MY S.A. CORP
