A Simple Christmas Quiz

A very simple and very short Christmas quiz:

Christmas is about Jesus coming to save people from their . . .
A) winter boredom.
B) needing a reason to shop.
C) sins.
D) needing a cute story to entertain their kids.

Answer:  The reason for the season is “She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.”  (Matthew 1:21)

Another question:

Does the new normal equal the old sins?  If so, then do we need to be saved from the new normal?

Perhaps we should remember this ancient prayer this Christmas (known as the Jesus Prayer):  “Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the living God, have mercy on me a sinner.”

About Steve Simms

I like to look and think outside the box. In college I encountered Jesus Christ and I have been passionate about trying to get to know Him better ever since. My wife and I long to see the power and passion of the first Christ-followers come to life in our time. I have written a book about our experiences in non-traditional church, called, "Beyond Church: An Invitation To Experience The Lost Word Of The Bible--Ekklesia." If you need encouragement, search for: Elephants Encouraging The Room and/or check out my Amazon author page. Thank you!
