One of the greatest Christian spiritual awakenings in history began in Wales in 1904 and shook the world. It was based on what became known as “The Four Points,” originally taught by Evan Roberts and became known as the Welsh Revival.
1) All sin must be confessed to God and be repented of. Read my recent post: Are You Living With Blood-Sucking Leeches.
2) There must be no unforgiveness. See: When Somebody’s Done You Wrong — 3 Responses
3) Believers must obey the Holy Spirit. Check out: In This Busy World, Perhaps We Need To SLO Down
4) Believers must openly talk about their love for and relationship with Christ. Read: Open Participatory Church In The Early Days Of The Salvation Army.
Perhaps these four points would bring a move of God in the 21st Century, if we would only obey them.
Although I just discovered “The Four Points” as I was reading a book this morning, we have been trying to live by them for the past four years at The Salvation Army Berry Street, 225 Berry St., Nashville, 37207. Sunday mornings @ 10:45 & Thursday nights @ 6:30. God is moving. Come and see for yourself.

What timely reminders, Steve, as we are days away from receiving our marching orders for our first corps appointment. Thank you so much for your encouragement on my blog the other day! I believe there will be a Salvation Army Writer’s Conference next year, and they may even have a bloggers’ track. Keep your ears to the ground and plan on attending! The War Cry also receives submissions from writers, so always keep that in mind as the Spirit gives you words of edification and rebuke. Blessings on your ministry, both online and offline! (By the way, Pinterest is an ‘online’ pin-board, almost like visual bookmarks. It’s used predominantly by women, but men are finding that it is very useful, as well. The site is http://www.pinterest.com.)
