Current events:  actions or words prompted by the flow of the Holy Spirit within you.  Don’t resist and/or quench the Spirit’s current, but go with His flow.

Like electricity the Spirit of God flows through conductors.  Is the living current of Christ cruising within you, or do you have a dead battery under your hood?

Is your life demonstrating what Jesus said about His current?  “Out of your innermost being shall flow rivers of living water.”

“You shall receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you.”  The Greek word used in that verse for power is dunamis from which we get our English words dynamo anddynamite.  Adynamois “a generator, especially one for producing a current.”

When you receive the Holy Spirit you receive a dynamo — God’s current, the ongoing flow of the Holy Spirit.  That’s why we are told to “Quench not the Holy Spirit,” — don’t shut down His flowing within you.

If you touch an electric current you know it and can’t help but react to it.  When you allow the Holy Spirit’s current to flow in and through you, there is no mystery — you and those around you know it and feel its effects.

O, for the release of the Spirit’s current through 21st Century believers.  Dead batteries that produce no current will accomplish nothing.
