What Do People Hunt During Easter Week?

It’s Easter week!  What should we be hunting for?

1) Eggs? or

2) The risen Jesus Christ?

Well, if the resurrection is merely a myth, then I guess the only things we have to hunt for are eggs, or fancy clothes, or baskets, or nice meals, or family time, or a well decorated church service.

However, if Jesus is really alive and if He is present in the 21st Century, we have something far more important to hunt for.  We have a living Person who loves us and wants an intimate relationship with us who says:  “Come unto Me all you who are weary and burdened.”

How can we turn that invitation down?  It’s time to hunt for the Resurrected One this week.

I’m looking for more of Jesus!

About Steve Simms

I like to look and think outside the box. In college I encountered Jesus Christ and I have been passionate about trying to get to know Him better ever since. My wife and I long to see the power and passion of the first Christ-followers come to life in our time. I have written a book about our experiences in non-traditional church, called, "Beyond Church: An Invitation To Experience The Lost Word Of The Bible--Ekklesia." If you need encouragement, search for: Elephants Encouraging The Room and/or check out my Amazon author page. Thank you!
