Sometimes I Think I’m Very Wealthy

A few days ago I began to realize how wealthy I am.  However, it is not a wealth that Forbes magazine will recognize.

Nevertheless, if the world’s billionaires knew how much peace, contentment, excitement, clear conscience, joy, and sweet, moment-by-moment companionship with God that I have, I think that they would be knocking on my door and offering me most of their money to experience the same.

Still, I can’t imagine anything that I could ever buy, even with seemingly unlimited cash, (glamorous trips, cars, houses, jewels, land, planes, yachts, etc.) that could in any way compare with the deep, abiding, long-term excitement and pleasure that I find in daily seeking to follow and obey Jesus.
