About Steve Simms

I like to look and think outside the box. In college I encountered Jesus Christ and I have been passionate about trying to get to know Him better ever since. My wife and I long to see the power and passion of the first Christ-followers come to life in our time. I have written a book about our experiences in non-traditional church, called, "Beyond Church: An Invitation To Experience The Lost Word Of The Bible--Ekklesia." If you need encouragement, search for: Elephants Encouraging The Room and/or check out my Amazon author page. Thank you!

My 95 Theses #31: Train people to follow the Holy Spirit instead of their own feelings or opinions. 95 Theses #32 Get out of a rut. Don’t follow same routine in church every Sunday.

Jesus ain’t a program; He is Lord!

Christians usually meet to be passively instructed. Perhaps we could also meet to exercise our faith & spiritual gifts, with one another. Where there is no caring interaction there is no sense of community. (A church in Smyrna experienced life-changing … Continue reading

95 Theses #25 — Be multiracial!

My 95 Theses #25: Be multiracial. There’s no excuse for churches to be some of the most segregated organizations around. when every church can look like Heaven and have people from various races and ethnicities loving one another through Christ!
