About Steve Simms

I like to look and think outside the box. In college I encountered Jesus Christ and I have been passionate about trying to get to know Him better ever since. My wife and I long to see the power and passion of the first Christ-followers come to life in our time. I have written a book about our experiences in non-traditional church, called, "Beyond Church: An Invitation To Experience The Lost Word Of The Bible--Ekklesia." If you need encouragement, search for: Elephants Encouraging The Room and/or check out my Amazon author page. Thank you!

(God Math) Life – God = L0neliness / Life X God = L∞ve

Do the God math. With God factored out of life, there’s a big zero (0) in our life — a void of loneliness. When God is the major factor of life (the prime mover), there is infinite (∞) love (l∞ve)! … Continue reading →

When any form of human life is: 1) widely considered to be insignificant; 2) uncared for; and 3) considered to belong to another person; human rights go out the window. This happened with people held in legal slavery in the 18th & 19th Centuries and with pre-natal human life in the 20th & 21st Centuries.

Use Words! Talk About Religion! Testify!

Church is not carefully crafted and controlled ceremonies.  It is a symphony of spontaneous, heart-felt testimonies.  It’s not what we’ve planned, learned, and memorized; but what we have seen and heard! Unfortunately, the work of the living God in human … Continue reading →
